What the app does
EV Monitor reads diagnostic data from your own vehicle (battery state, cell voltages, temperatures, tire pressures, charging state, odometer, speed) through an OBD2 Bluetooth adapter that you plug into your car.
What we collect
Nothing.
- No account. The app has no sign-up, login, or user identifier.
- No transmission. Vehicle data is processed and stored only on your device, in a local database. The app makes no network requests — there is no server, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDK.
- No sharing. Since nothing is collected, nothing is shared with anyone.
Data stored on your device
Drive and charge history, battery-health snapshots, and app settings are stored locally so the app can show your trends. Deleting the app deletes all of it. You can also export diagnostic recordings manually — those files go only where you choose to share them.
Permissions the app asks for
- Bluetooth / Nearby devices — required to find and talk to your OBD2 adapter. On Android 11 and older, the system requires the Location permission for Bluetooth scanning; EV Monitor does not read or store your location.
- Notifications — to show the live connection/charging status while the app runs in the background.
Children
EV Monitor is a vehicle utility and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes (for example, if a future version adds an online feature), the change will be listed here and in the app's release notes before it takes effect.
